Meat Suit (Land Where the Water Reflects the Sky), 2025

What is home? The land where I was born and raised or the body that I inhabit? The landscape that encompasses the canvas is from my favorite valley from my hometown in Minnesota. I wanted to create an homage to my home because I have grown disconnected from my body and from my homeland. I left home nearly three years ago and I carry it with me in my blood and body. I am homesick in my body and I am homesick for my land.
